We have all “run ourselves ragged”, haven’t we? As you well know, there are times when it seems we just have to, but other times we push too far when we didn’t have to do so.
I’m in the healthcare field and we often see what’s known as “caregiver fatigue”. That’s when the person taking care of the sick/infirmed gives out first. If you are a caregiver, ask someone to help you so you can have a break.
But most of us aren’t in that situation and yet we find ourselves running on empty more often than we should. How can we care for someone else if we don’t take care of ourselves?
And He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.” (For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.) Mark 6:31
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.Matthew 11:28
