We all have a story to tell.
When we look at ourselves, we don’t always see a “story”. But Jesus is the “author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2). I am so thankful for that!
Have you ever been struggling with something and then be talking to someone about something else and the conversation turn? In that conversation, you find that the person you are talking to has struggled with the very thing you are and they tell their story. You attentively take it in. Suddenly, they stop talking, look directly at you and say, “I don’t know why I just told you all that.”
But you know why. God had sent them your way because you needed to hear their story. You needed to be reminded that you are not alone. You are reminded that God is with you, just as He was is with them – just like He said He would be.
I remember when our ladies class started at my Church. There were new wives and moms to women with great grandchildren in that class. Every week one of the “wiser” “godly” women would invariably tell something about their home life and I would think, “Thank You God, there is hope for me.”
People need hope today more than ever. Your story may be the very thing that gives someone a glimmer of that Hope. So don’t be silent. Tell people how Jesus has brought you through. Let God use your story for His glory!
